Hi, I have a quick question and would appreciate your help.

What is the difference between these two sentences:

каков средний месячный доход вашей семьи до вычета налогов?
каков средний месячный доход вашей семьи без вычета налогов?

Are they both asking about gross monthly income?

I think the both mean the same:what is monthly income of your family before (without) taxation.

без вычета налогов = without tax deduction

после вычета налогов = after tax deduction
с вычетом налогов = with tax deduction
