    Failing to try

I do not know whether I will succeed (in learning Russian) but I am willing to fail trying than failing to try.

I'd said that way though it is a lose translation.

    My variant:

This doesn't make sense in English, by the way. I can't be bothered to explain why it's wrong; it's wrong for so many reasons.

"but I am willing to fail trying, than failing to try"
    should be
"but I'd rather fail trying, than fail to try."

OR: " I am willing to fail by trying, ratherthan failing to try.
