I do not know whether I will succeed (in learning Russian) but I am willing to fail trying than failing to try.

Я сказал бы так, хотя это вольный перевод - I'd said that way though it is a lose translation.
Я не знаю, удастся ли мне выучить русский, но лучше\предпочту попытаться, пусть и потерпев неудачу, чем не пытаться вообще.

Я не знаю, преуспею ли я в изучении русского, но я готов провалиться, стараясь, нежели провалиться, даже не попробовав!

This doesn't make sense in English, by the way. I can't be bothered to explain why it's wrong; it's wrong for so many reasons.

should be
"but I'd rather fail trying, than fail to try."

should be
"but I'd rather fail trying, than fail to try."[/quote]

OR: " I am willing to fail by trying, ratherthan failing to try.
