    Chlorophyll

    Does anyone know the russian word for chlorophyll. I tried an online translator but it came up as облака!I don't think mountains have anything to do with chlorophyll

    It is «хлорофилл». And also mountains don't have anything to do with облака too because it is «clouds».

    It's not a Russian word, of course. The grass and leaves are green not only in Russia Although they are greener there, certainly :P

    А также розовых. Насчёт зелёных слонов: помню, в одном журнале была такая страничка любопытных и смешных фактов. Там однажды писали о различных фальсификациях и розыгрышах в науке. Один учёный в 19 веке подробно описал растения с цветками в виде голов слона и с хоботами.

    Well plants with elephant shaped heads, that is just plain wierd, just wierd.
    I'm awfully embarassed about that oblaka deal, i'm gonna see if there is any Russian refresher courses here in my little hillbilly town.
