    Can anyone tell me?

Does anyone know the Russian names for the X-Men, such as: Wolverine, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Storm, Jubilee, Shadowcat, Blob, Colossus. Thanks

Oh, this post is so cute and hun-huney that I'm at a loss for words. Let's help him!

Those are kind of peculiar names. We could certainly give you boring transliterated versions, but everyone is sick of those, so how about we try to make Russian versions?

    Wolverine....herrmmmm... how about Волков?
Rogue.... Плут sounds kind of dumb. How about Ренегат?
    Nightcraweler...tricky one. Ночползик?
    Storm....Гроза sounds kind of cool.
Jubilee - HAHAHAHAH! Funny name! Hen hao, hen hao! Unfortunately, I can't really think of an interesting sounding Russian equivalent.
    Shadowcat - Теникотик?
Blob - Urrmm...You tell me one.
    Colossus - Колоссов?

I'm not very good at making interesting Russian names, so somebody help me out.

You know what Jubilee's mutant power is? Sending up colored sparkles. I kid you not.

I'm a little ashamed that I know this.

It's funny how often росомаха is misspelled! There's only one "с" in that word. Btw, which is more correct - wolverene or wolverine? My dictionary says both are correct...

And "Jubilee" really translates to "Юбилей, празднование"

You mean they actually have Russian names? Wow. Why did the blob translate to "elephant"?

Jubilee's power sounds pretty fun. He/she has a really cute name too. JUBILEE! YAYY!

I mean come on, there are so many american films dubbed into Russian....With a movie like Xmen where the names of the characters corespond to their abilities, translating this doesnt suprise me. If you see russian theatres in moscow or petersburg, 9/10 showing are american films.

Yeah, but The Blob doesn't have, like, the power to grow a big trunk or remember lots of stuff, does he?

Never mind, maybe he does. I haven't actualized my full geek potential yet, and as such, do not know every little thing about fictional mutants
