Bischochitos is a hispanic cookie made in the southwest of the USA.
They are traditionally made around Thankgiving and Christmas.
I am taking a batch with me to the Ukraine and they actually asked me for the recipe. I can provide it in English but would not want a particular ingredient mis lead. So I was wondering if some of you kind folks can translate this for me.
If not oh well....
But for the rest of you, this is some good stuff!
Biscochitos (Anise Seed Cookies)
Yield: 5 Dozen
Baking time: 10-12 minutes
Baking Temperature: 350 F
1 pound lard
1 1/2 cups of Sugar
2 teaspoons Anise Seed
2 eggs, beaten
6 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Brandy*
