Hello everyone! I'm from Finland and I study russian. I love studying it, but sometimes I have some trouble with writing exercises, because I don't know how to say something or I'm not sure if I have made mistakes or not. So, from now on, I will post my writing exercises into this thread, and I hope someone will point out my mistakes and help me improve my russian faster! My exercise book is in finnish, and because not many people here know finnish, i'll translate the finnish parts into english, so you will know what I'm trying to say. Hopefully I won't make many mistakes with my finnish to english translations so that everything goes smoothly and there will be no misunderstandings.
Here is my first exercise:
If the instructions of the part is not to make a direct translation, i will use ( ). for example A: what's your name A: (ask her name)
A: Hello
B: Hello, do you remember, what day it is today?
A: (react to the question)
B: It's your birthday. Congratulations on your birthday/happy birthday!
A: (say thanks and say you will offer/buy coffee to your friend)
B: (thank him/her for the invitation
Okay, and here's my russian ones:
A: Привет!
Б: Привет, ты помнишь, что день сегодня?
А: Нет, Я не помню.
Б: Это твой день рождения. С днём рождения!
А: Спасибо, Я угощаю тебе кофе.
Б: Спасибо.
