I have tried to translate these sentences concerning adverbs of place. So if you could please look over them and make sure I have translated them correctly. Thank you!!!
1.) Вчера я был болен и остался дома. - Yesterday I was sick and I stayed home.
2.) Водитель поворачивал машину налево и направо. - The driver turned the car left and right.
3.) Я спросил девушку, откуда она. - I asked the girl, from where she was.
4.) Мы подошли к краю скалы и посмотрели вниз. - We went up to the edge of the rock and looked down.
5.) Пришла весна и везде ("всюду" разница есть?) зацвели цветы. - Spring came and everywhere flowers bloomed.
6.) Это окно открывается наружу. - This window is opened to the outside.
7.) Снаружи наша дача покрашена в синий цвет. - Our dacha is painted in dark blue on the outside.
8.) На съезд приехали учёные отовсюду. - Scholars came from everywhere to the convention.
9.) Мы поднялись наверх по лестнице. - We went up the stairs.
10.) Мальчик запер дверь изнутри. The boy locked the door from the inside.
11.) Он спустился на лифте вниз на первый этаж. - He rode on the elevator down to the first storey.
12.) Нельзя смотреть назад, надо смотреть вперёд. - You're not allowed to look back, you need to look forward???
13.) Мы поднялись на гору и сверху увидели озеро. - We went up onto the mountain and we saw the lake from above.
14.) Охотники нашли пещеру и заглянули внутри. - The hunters found the cave and looked around inside.
15.) Я положил журналы здесь на полку. - I put the magazines here on the shelf.
16.) Он работает там, где я работал раньше. - He works there, where I used to work before.
17.) Когда он ездит в машине, он возит детей сзади ("позади" разница есть?). - When he drives in the car, he carries the children in the back.
18.) У меня впереди ещё много работы. - I still have a lot of work ahead.
19.) После работы я пошёл прямо домой. - After work I went straight home.
20.) У этой машины зеркала заднего вида слева и справа. - This car has rear-view mirros on the left and right.
