I'm translating an article about the many lifes human people has (in Spanish it is told that cats have up to seven), and there is a phrase whose sense I can'not fit succesfully. It says that between a life and the next is a time of years or centuries. Этот промежуточный период может длится несколько лет или несколько столетий, если пользоваться вашим временим. It's this phrase "если пользоваться вашим временим" (in the case of profitting your time???) that I don't find good.
