Thread: 3 sentences!

Hello everybody!

My Russian's been a little rusty for a while so I thought I'd translate a silly song in order to get it flowing again!

I picked up a song called Голая, I have no idea whether it's famous or not, but anyway! Overall I can understand it pretty well, but there are a few doubts here and there. Such as:


1) Нравится мне, когда ты голая по квартире ходишь и несомненно заводишь

The verb заводить makes me a little unsure of the meaning of the sentence. Can I think of it as начать водить or is there another meaning to it?


2) Я сам себе поставить банки сумею

I understand the words, but... what?!


3) Нравится мне не замечать расстояний, когда безумно так тянет

Once again the words seem familiar but I'm still unsure. Is тянет a trailer or something?

Here "заводить" means "to turn on".

Here it is obviously about ATTRACTION.

"и несомненно заводишь" - это означает, что у него по этому поводу возникает сексуальное желание, что подтверждается якобы наступающей эрекцией.

The банки part would've been impossible to guess! So the verbs that go along with it are ставить / поставить...
