    Hello everyone

Does anyone know what щугался means? I guess the infinitive is щугаться.
I'm translating a degree and it is written (handwritten so I hope I've read it right) after they say something about the graduate following courses on the arts, singing and music, it says "не щугался" (if I read it correctly).

    Thanks in advance.

There is no such word. All I can think of is "шугаться" wich means "to scare" (it's some kind of slang, not a criminal and not a youth slang, I would rather call it "the way some uneducated folks speak" slang).
Please, correct my mistakes, except the cases I misspell something with purpose!
