I presume "Дозволь наглядеться" mean "you suffered enough.." and the rest is "joy upon you!" or something like that

combining the two versions of translation you found наглядеться is to feast enough one's eyes on or to have feasted one's eyes on

Дозволь наглядеться радость на тебя - Let me feast my eyes upon you, my joy

наглядеться only exists in a perfective form

Ohhhh!

Now it makes much more sense! Especially the word Дозволь which I didn't know what to make of it. That's why I use caution with google translate. :P

Valda -- with some verbs (not only this one), the prefix на- used in combination with the suffix -ся gives the general meaning "to perform the action up to or beyond the point of satisfaction".

One of my college textbooks gave the humorous example of a Russian grandmother who's encouraging her little grandson to have yet another serving of macaroni -- "Mangia, mangia, you're all skin and bones," as an Italian grandma would say -- and the kid complains with a word of his own invention:

"Бабушка, я уже намакаронился!!" (Roughly, "Grandma, I'm already all-macaroni'd-out!")

However, be aware that the на-/-ся combination does NOT have this meaning for all verbs.

LXNDR: The difference, I assume, is that нагнуть (to bend), нанять (to hire, to rent) both exist independently as well-established verbs, to which the reflexive ending -ся can then be attached.

Similarly for verbs like находиться/найтись ("to be located," NOT "to walk till one is exhausted") -- derived by adding -ся to the existing находить/найти, "to find," and NOT by adding на-/-ся to ходить/идти.

In contrast, there's no verb наглядеть (at least not one in common usage); rather, наглядеться is formed by simultaneously adding на-/-ся to the basic verb глядеть.

tentatively i can assume that your principle applies to natural acts expressed by intransitive verbs like смотреть, слышать, слушать, сидеть, стоять, есть, пить however transitive verbs like читать, мучать also falls here although it's transitive

by the way you absolutely can say находиться in a sense of "to walk till one is exhausted", which only supports my assumption that the principle has to do with natural human activities

at the same time offhand there're such verbs as наговориться and надуматься (rare but legit), two cut down forms of which still make sense
