I found these expressions in the book Шендевры by Виктор Шендерович (Москва, 2003) - what do they mean?! I undrestand that it is some kind of word game, as there is the variation по тарелке/по тарелкам, but...

    Here`s the context for you:

    Thanks for any help! :P

Тарелка is a slang word for special kind of antenna (shaped like a plate). Therefore говорить по тарелке in your case means speak using antenna. That's my guess
My English isn't so good,
I'll be very thankful, if you correct my mistakes.

So would an acceptable translation would be:
Tomorrow he will talk to you by the dish (ie satellite dish)
boy: you can't talk by dishes!

    ?
I am a notourriouse misspeller. Be easy on me.
