Очень интересный тест для гастарбайтеров. Я, к своему стыду, засыпался на 5-м уровне.

this is crap - I failed it on the very first page - got only 2 correct answers.

The first page is very easy. I'v got 45 from 47 there. The clue is that you must live in Russia (or former USSR) for at least several years to answer correctly.

Ну вот я живу в Москве всю жизнь, но прошел только первую страницу :-/

Но вообще интересно конечно

Интересно, а для англичан или американцев есть где-нибудь аналогичный тест?

No way, IQ test determines your intellect, but this test shows knowlege of modern russian culture: the first one - late soviet period mostly, the second one - modern, post-soviet. Anyway, they are not official, it's just fun.

I got five right on the first page - a fact which I am extremely proud of, seeing that I have only ever been in Russia for five days!

No way, IQ test determines your intellect, but this test shows knowlege of modern russian culture: the first one - late soviet period mostly, the second one - modern, post-soviet. Anyway, they are not official, it's just fun.

Repeat : The IQ test has many similar questions. I've never said "exact questions." Yes, this Russian test has questions that test one's intelligence too.

You are welcome! So, in your case, I think it takes only couple of months living in Russia for you to become complete russian guy!

Charlestonian, I know about IQ test since 1992. It was the first time i'd passed it - my school teacher was very fond of Aizenk's methodiue. To get a good score one woldn't have an erudition or historical or cultural knowlege - just be smart enoth.
Короче, в IQ тесте есть похожие задания - типа "расставьте в нужном порядке" или " добавьте недостающее звено", но, по большому счёту,
чтобы набрать максимальное количество баллов, достаточно уметь решать головоломки и шарады. Он не проверяет твою эрудицию и знания.

- that's what I was talking about. BTW, I took IQ test several times, I know what IQ test is

So am I, charlestonian. You didn't understand what I mean. This test and IQ test are comletly different, not similar. Similar is just the form of some questions.

I've never said they were the same!!! I said that there are similar questions in both tests.

Ok, ok! Take it easy! It seems to me, Casper asked about similar test by content, not by form.

Without being Casper or a qualified psychologist, I can pretty confidently say that Casper wanted the same kind of test in English; to test your Englishness(/Americaness). He did not want a random test that asks questions written in English (which would be the IQ test) :P

It would take quite a lot of work to turn me into a guy, I'm afraid - I'm a girlie....

Лучше сказать: (.....) for you to become completely russian


Well, I'd like to try! But neither my hubby nor the cat would be happy if I went to Russia for a couple of months, so chances are slim....
