You are right, but - мобила (feminine).

these days u could probly call it you "селли" and be understood.

Dead Morose и Санта Клаус суть абсолутно различные персонажи. Dead Morose приходит на Новый Год, а Санта Клаус на Рождество.

I'm sure there will be some people who disagree with this, but I'll quote the following text I ran across yesterday in Genevra Gerhart's "The Russian's World."

The idea of Grandfather Frost seems to be a relatively new one, probably not much more than 100 years old. It is as if, having the Christmas tree thrust upon them from the West, the Russians looked around and discovered they also needed a counterpart to Santa Claus (and also to Black Peter of the Dutch legend)...

So there you have it. It does seem to be a wishy-washy statement -- "seems to be" and "it is as if" seem to make it sound like idle speculation rather than hardcore research, but I thought I'd provide this information for your pondering.

I just looked for some pictures with yandex and I think they look pretty similar. But maybe these pictures are wrong. So what does the real дед мороз look like?
