I think Putin and Condolisa(i don know how to write correctly her name) speak native language only
when they are making an official statements. They are politician and their statements very
important. It is important to understand correctly threir statements.

Well, I don't know if I can nail it down to one thing. I would like to learn for several reasons.

I would like to visit some day and I would like to speak (and read and write) at least passable Russian before doing so. I'm also interested in the history and many of the people involved. I'm also interested in the current political, economic and social situation and where it might be going and what the peoples views are and how they are changing.

That's about it, I guess, besides the fact it's always good to learn new things.

For years I used to play around with the Russian letters, without using them for anything. I have always been a little bit interested in learning the language due to relative having made it, also I feel that we Norwegians, who also live in the north, have something in common with the Russians, the winter, the snow, but it is difficult for me to explain exactly what it is about Russia for me.
