    books in russia are cheap and of high quality. You can get a hardbound book for like $10.

    Yeah I agree the books are cheap, but the shipping from Russia to Canada is incredibly expensive, at least on ozon.ru... total cost ends up being roughly the same as amazon.

    Still the selection is better there than on Amazon for Russian language stuff.

    Any other sites, besides ozon.ru? Who are ozon's main competitors?

    you can search amazon and abebooks with latin letters instead of cyrillic - it's not a great method but it returns results e.g. ruski or gramatica

    High quality? Ты о новых изданиях говоришь? Они весьма дурного качества... Раза три прочитаешь - книга уже износится, порвётся. Старые-то книги, изданные во время советского союза, очень хорошие - до гроба тебя проводят. Их покупать можно иногда по 30 рублей у буикнистов.
