    which watch?

    How many of our English-speaking friends would be able to understand this, I wonder?

    - When speak, that we do on energy to saving up technologies a little, I am simply dared, - chairman of board of Open Society " ММК speaks a name of Ilyich ", the People's Deputy of Ukraine Vladimir Bojko. - why? Because in the eightieth years it was necessary for us of gas 240 of thousand cubes at an o'clock! Manufacture then was below, than now. However today we spend gas on 90 thousand cubes at an o'clock less.

    actually, that one seems a little too much for an online translator, it seems to literally follow the structure of the original sentence -- are the online translators really that bad?

    Impossible. To know such "large" words and not be able to understand that "o'clock" should really be "hour"? It smells online translator of "час" long way!

    Online translators are useful to certain extent, but not for publishing articles!

    as a test, here's the google translator (I guessed the russian sentence):

    Производство тогда было ниже чем сейчас. Однако сегодня мы тратим газа на 90 тысяч кубов в час меньше.
    --->
    Production was then lower than it is now. But today we spend gas to 90,000 cubic meters per hour less.

    It guessed the 'hour', and the first sentence is actually fine...

    Well, I should revise my statement. There are many computer translators out there, not only online ones. I remember buying one in Petersburg a couple of years ago and it did quite a horrible job Who knows what translator this dude used, but I am utterly convinced that it is an automatic translation. A fool with a dictionary is very dangerous, I agree, but this is a different fool. He "knows" the difference between a/an, but doesn't know "hour"? Unlikely

    Perhaps you are right
    It still escapes me how any fool, whether live or electronic, could translate "imeni Ilyicha" into "speaks a name of Ilyich"
