Hey ! ...what if someone loves through the internet ?

I think the internet is a nice place to meet people, but not necessarily love them. Maybe after you meet or something, but I don't really think you can truly love someone you have never met... I met my current girlfriend online looking for people in the area that spoke Russian, but if anyone asks, we met at Starbucks. (The first place we actually did meet in person)

I think its very easy for people to be deceptive on the internet, men posing as women, things like that...

I think overall its fun to meet people online but thats all.

Of course Fantom may proove me wrong.

I have Loved someone through the net .....she's nice ,cute ...she's just an angel ! ...i truley love her ..we talk like for 2 years ..we didnt even met ...we could meet this summer ..but..some troubles prevent that ..bad luck ...

..her name is Ksenija. i call her Ksusha ..i dont even know what does it means .... but she's goin different ..that why i post this topic...just to know if im right or wrong ! ....i love her ! ...i love her .

hmm ..sure i dont mean like form the first meeting ...like from the first moments ...i talked to her like for 3 months .then we found the we have lots of things in common ..then we started to go closer ... ..sure its stupid from the first moment...she / he could use different genre ..and play by feelings ! ...

I definitely agree with you, there is no way I would be dating her if I hadn't met her in person, and we actually hung out on the weekends for a couple of months before we actually started dating.

Love through internet is at least wierd, imho. eMAD, the goal of love is to have sex and to get children (it's based on my own expirience) but I hardly imagin the sex and the children through the internet. Athother aspects of human's relationship have secondary importace. I even do not mention that the real love and especialy the real sex is much better...

like love someone from other country through the net .then you meet ! ..isnt that nice and sweet !? ... u are talkin like i mean from the same country ..where you are able to meet her but u dont want to ..cuz u want to keep it on internet ....not ..i mean there's a dream to meet with her ..cuz she's from another country ..so u work and u build your life ... .
like i do call the girl i loved ...she's from another country ...russian ..lives in finland ...and did many stuff ..like sms ..blah blah ..and we have a dream to meet !!... can u imagine it now ?! ... -- <--- did u guys get the mean ... ??!

Talking online >> Meeting >> Love

I would never let myself (and I don't even think it is possible) get emotionally attached to someone I hadn't even met. There are just too many variables that could be wrong. She could send a pic of someone else, have herpes, be a transvestite, you know, all those cool things.

ps- Just in case there is confusion, I did meet my girlfriend online, and she is Bulgarian, but she lives in San Diego also, about 20 miles from me, so I see her many times a week, it's not like she is still in Bulgaria and we are dating long distance. So, I don't consider it "dating online" at all.

Well, a guy i know has had a 'girlfriend' in ukraine for about 4 years now and they have never even met, but he has no desire to see other people. and she still has no desire for anyone else but him.

And, I wasn't going to say anything. BUT ok, I'll let you all in a little secret. The reason i'm going to Australia is to live with a girl who i met on the internet. I met her back in January and we were good friends for awhile and (about 4 months) and then about 4 months ago we decided to give it a shot with each other. Now, i know shes not a guy or transvestite or has herpes or anything, i've seen/ talked to her everyday for the past 8 months and my parents OK'd me to go to see her in australia if i graduated highschool (kinda as a gift i guess) And i graduated so im off in 12 days.

As far as love on the internet goes, even tho its basically happend to me, i'm still skeptical, and for sure i would not do it again... It's possible, but very unlikely. I think that i just got lucky to meet someone who i get along with very nicely when i wasnt even looking for it. I guess about the only advantage to internet 'love' is that you really have a lot of time to get to know each other and the relationship isnt clouded by sex and lust or pysichal need... But that can also be what tears the relationship apart.

BUT i say, if you meet someone and ur dumb enough to trust them, and it works out, and you're stong enough to cope with the LONG periods when dont see each other, and ur wallet is fat enough to afford the 1,600 dollar plane ticket... Then, why not?

If she's real, and you love her, then talk to her about this. Not sure why you want everyone's opinion, because our opinions mean nothing for you and her.

lol! Im glad somebody likes me around here. Though, i don't think it's about winning or losing. Just try and make it work with your girly... You'll know in the end if you win or lose.
