Question Trying to learn about Passports and Visas

Hi everyone, my girlfriend, who is from the Russian speaking part of Ukraine,
want's to take a vacation to the United States to see me.
She has her passport now, but she was mentioning to me that Visas are impossible to get.

Is the same true for travel or tourism Visas. I don't know anything about the Russian/Ukraine
work or travel Visas, but it would seem you could get one quickly.

Does anyone know about Visas, who can advise me???

    Ok, thanks for any help.

There is article here: Как получить визу в США. Часть первая - Туризм - ТСН.ua

    Note this text:
Но если у вас "чистый" паспорт, нет официальной работы, а в США вы едите по вызову вашего бойфренда, то вероятность получить визу стремительно приблизится к нолю. Но, конечно же, вы все равно можете попытать удачу.
But if you have "clean" passport (that is, no previous travels outside country), no official job and reason of travel is your boyfriend's invocation/call, then your chances of getting visa are almost zero. But you can try luck anyway.

It`s a real lottery, someone may have property, stable income, passport full of visas from EU countries (apart from being male) - all the signs that he`s not gonna turn illegal immigrant - and still may not get this visa (b1\b2).
Someone apllies for the first time with new clear passport and receives it.

There is statistics claiming that post-soviet countries like Georgia or Ukraine generally have higher percentage of denials than Russia`s citizens.
