Russian translation of "My Big Fat Soviet Adventure" (see Blogs)
This thread is dedicated to Russian translation of deborski's blog "My Big Fat Soviet Adventure".
You can always download the latest version of the aligned English-Russian text in ParallelBook format from this link. To open and view this file you'll need a Windows PC and Aglona Reader which you can download and use for free from the same website.
Questions addressed to deborski, the author of the original text, will be posted as comments on corresponding blog entry pages.
Here I will mostly share my difficulties of finding an appropriate or simply a "more elegant" Russian translation of various (and numerous, which I already can see) places from the text. I hope for your help, and thanks in advance!
4. Ambassador International Cultural Foundation
Quote:
The WCG had chosen the four of us out of about 300 fervent volunteers for the Ambassador International Cultural Foundation’s humanitarian project in Russia.
5. Leningrad Committee for Television and Radio Production
Quote:
The agreement had taken years to formalize, and much of the groundwork had been performed by Darlene, who had connections within the administration at the Leningrad Committee for Television and Radio Production.
