Thread: Russian Television Stations

OK, there's a new report out analyzing the content of Russian TV channels, which leads me to my question. What are the significant Russian TV networks today -- not really so much cable/satellite (does that exist, really?), but the networks that just broadcast an open-air signal so that anybody with a TV can pick them up. Here's what I know:
-ORT (AKA Channel 1, right?)
-RTV
-NTV
-REN
These are all basically the equivalent of, say, Fox, CBS,ABC, NBC, right (assuming you are familiar with American TV )?

Where do TNT and STS come in? Are there other networks that I'm missing?
This isn't really a well-formulated question, but I'm just curious in general. Any information is appreciated!

The rest are local and not so significant.
