Well I was in a book shop today in the city of Vitebsk and noticed that they had Russian grammar books for the 12th grade (18 y.o. I think!)

Gosh, I did not open a grammar book since I was about 12! It's unbelievable that the Russian grammar is so hard that they need to continue teaching it all the way through school. That illustrates that the difficulty with the Russian language is with the grammar.

The spelling is nothing extraordinary and on the whole, more logical than English for example. Of course there are some tricky exceptions, but on the whole, it's logical.
