Thread: Marriage!!

Hi all, thank you for taking the time to read my post....

3 years ago I was nearly killed in a car accident that left me with a disibility and very low self esteem. My wife left me and life was not much fun to be honest!

Anyway, last year I met a girl from Russia and although we were just friends things developed between us and we are very much in love....I never thought I could be so happy and the bottom line is that I would like to be able to tell her how I feel in Russian and ask her to marry me!

Would one of you guys or gals be prepared to do me a huge favour and translate a few paragraphs from English into Russian for me??

I had planned to do this by PM but in truth although it may sound a bit corny I really don't mind who knows how I feel so will post the paragraphs below....

Thanks in advance......I'd invite you all to the wedding but I guess I need to hope she says 'yes' first??

Sorry to hear about your disability, here is my attempt at translating the declaration for you. Note that I am not a native Russian speaker, so if I make a mistake, someone will be very quick to point it out:

Дорогая Ольга, встреча с тобой вернула ко мне веру в жизни, и я не могу верить, как мои чувства для тебя росли. Ты всегда в моих мыслях, и как так мы нашли друг друга, я хочу, чтобы мы никогда не расстались!

Несмотря на расстояния между нами, наши чувства для друг другу росли, и я знаю в моем сердце, что наше будущее состоит в том, что мы всегда вместе. Ты меня совершаешь, и моя любовь для тебя крепит с каждым днем.

Я тебя люблю.

Я одного у тебя прошу - будь моей женой.

I seem to be having problems when I try to cut and paste from these boards?? Does anyone else have similar trouble??

Did you set your language settings on the computer to include Russian? If not, you might very well see gibberish!

Ahhhhhhhh - no, I didn't. I'm fairly new to all this computer malarkey and thought that Vista would cope with cutting and pasting - I was wrong!

I'll check the settings and see what happens....

What do you mean by "distance"?

I guess that means you never met her in real.?

I'm not doubt about your love.

but kinda ...difficult to understand the word " distance"
