Solution!
The Russian at the top is ok because it's an image. It's not actually text.
Right click on the page, go to encoding, and choose Cyrillic. If it isnt there, go to more, then choose cyrillic.
I had to try a couple cyrillic encodings before I found the right one, but the right one for me was Cyrillic (Windows)

Thanks!!!!!
He's never going to win the olympics with all his health problems. I can't believe they gave him medicine that is for animals...

Looks to me like he could open a soup can with his nose.... :o
Guys (Biancca and fantom) how do you insert images into your messages? I can see only links instead of pictures themselves (I use Firefox as browser), like this:Quote:

Just like that ;)
The < and > were old school HTML 2.0 commands. < is another way of writing <, and > is another way of writing >.
yep. But he's the best skater ever!!!!!!!Quote:

fantom605, why do you put gt/lt instead of >/<?
I don't, I think that firefox automatically changes that... In IE, it's just < and > when I look at the sourcecode. Firefox is more of a programmer-oriented browser (so is pretty much anything Mozilla does... Wait a minute, Mozilla was the name of the Netscape mascot during the Microsoft Anti-trust case... Did Mozilla branch off from Netscape?)Quote:

I do this in programming because SQL (and most other RMDB's) doesn't like special characters like apostrophes, so I always use chr(39) instead... Also, you can't store a carriage return (press of the enter button), so you store chr(13) & chr(10)
So yeah, that's why it translates into a more computer-friendly format...

OK, Biancca, I was just kidding. ;)
I know that Плющенко has millions of fans all over the world, many women are mad about him and that's probably not only because of his skating. :)
offtopic: who's the skating girl on your avatar? is it... you?..

Oh, I see :D
Fantom, thanks for the digression into character encoding :)
Actually I wondered why I could see others pictures but yours.
My guess you had "Disable HTML in this post" checkbox checked. Am I right?
I had a similar problem, but I just couldn't read e-mails. There's actually 2 different types of cryllic I have to use, KO18R and Windows. Not sure why that is.

"Wait a minute, Mozilla was the name of the Netscape mascot during the Microsoft Anti-trust case... Did Mozilla branch off from Netscape?"
....are you serious?...</endgeekyelitism>
Your answer: Yes.
I think it may have. My school has Mozilla.
~Amanda
yes. as I said above...it did... the Mozilla foundation was founded by netscape/netscape developers and used a netscape codebase originally--that is where the Gecko rendering engine came from although it is much much more developed now-- The Gecko engine is used in nearly all open-source browsers but began in Mozilla and continues in Mozilla Firefrox/phoenix....Quote:

Nein, I would never disable HTML, that's like asking me to cut off my VB hand! :)Quote:

Actually, that brings me to another question... Does anyone here develop software in C#"?
-Fantom
I thought so, it was more of a statement than a question... As soon as I perfect playing DVD's using .Net, the browser I am writing will rule the world... And as soon as I re-familiarize myself with assembly language coding and figure out the most efficient way to use memory registers, my OS will soon follow.... Luckily I already have a woman, or else I wouldn't stand a chance of getting one by saying things like these!!!
-Fantom
Nope, no C#.Quote:

Oooh! Pick me! *flails arm into air*
I have VB6!
But it looks like it. I still can see >i< >/i< tags in your sign :)Quote:

Crazy. I suppose you could also say "Us americans".
Better leave it to one of those crazy grammar expert people.
