Thread: In which photo does the house look better?

I think the first house looks better, and full of antique character--the second picture, in which it's now painted, the house does look refreshed, and all spruced up, and nice, but along the way somehow it's lost it's old time charm! Freshly painted is nice, but I wish it's charm had not been smothered under it! And, I dislike the white trim, as well--the beige color on it in picture #1 added to the warm appearance of the house--the white trim appears a bit too stark, and looks out of place on the house's charming, older edifice. All in all, though, it's still an old charmer of a house.

Я всегда испытывала теплое чувство к частным домикам с рассохшимися ставнями, покосившимися заборчиками, облупившейся штукатуркой, и вокруг чтоб обязательно бурьяны, а асфальт чтоб разбитый.. Когда вижу такой, даже иногда останавливаюсь, чтоб полюбоваться. Душевные они какмие-то.

Но это ободранное строение что-то у меня умиления не вызывает, даже тоскливо стало. И разводы мерзкие. Так что мне больше вторая фотка нравится.
