    Процедура from hell

ok, i need some more opinions on this one...
in short two of my gf's friends (male and female) have been accepted to work at ofitsanki in a restaurant and for this they needed to have a medical. i thought this would be a rough check up but seems i was wong.
they had blood tests and full examination and by full im talkin' internal. things going places, all possable places you could think of testing

all this probing and sampling to work in as a fricking ofisant! does anyone else seem to find this strange? they sure didnt, claiming it was in the restaurants interest to have healthy workers that wouldn't infect the customers

so, what do you guys think?

Well in Russia you have to have so called medical book (медицинская книжка) - it's a little dark-blue book with some pages where all your dates are noted - that nessesery vaccines were done, all analisyses are good and so on. It's a usual custom if you are going to work with food.
There is not enough just to collect all medical stamped papers - you must have medical book.

And actually yes - they have to bring a piece of their sh*t and urine for analisys on dysentery and other things.

Or you prefer your meal would be cooked and served by anyone who has dysentery or anything worse?
    Я так думаю.

Are these prospective employees Russians or foreigners?

In any case, that's no surprise to me -- all the официантки I dealt with acted like they had something up their arse. Anal, anal, anal people. Actually, the good ones were just horribly impersonal. The bad ones were downright rude.

To get back to your question, I don't know. Yeah, it does seem weird to me -- this is typically an entry-level service position that they hire any schmuck for in the US. As long as you can carry a tray and don't have blood gushing out of your eye-sockets, you're a go. With that being said, I also understand why they'd want people who weren't going to spread the plague or whatever too.

Well, then I think it is time to start washing your hair, most of the официантки I met were down right cute and nice!

Then our entire group of 20-something students had bad hair -- the nearest cafe had great food, but they were horrid people. They were just surly at first, but then devised a strategy of declaring every table in the place, except 2 of them "reserved for business lunch." Which was odd, b/c it constantly stayed dead. Nevertheless we kept going there -- until they declared the ENTIRE cafe reserved for "business lunch." This wasn't a periodic occurence -- it was a perpetual state!

To fill it with sense, you must add "Если" in the beginning and cross out "которая".

It's must be: Если девочка умеет бухать и курить, значит (с ней) есть о чём поговорить =)

I don't agree. The girl will booze and smoke and no time will be left for a lame talk.

No. The reason she won't be able to talk isn't time, but the fact that in a few years she'll have throat cancer and her voicebox will be destroyed...

Clearly, you are having the girl smoke the wrong substance!
