RTR is not too bad yeah, But some of the acting on the cheesy soaps is awful...but amusing.

You can watch "Highlander" dubbed into Russian on Planeta. It is funny because you can still here the English faintly in the background.

The cheesey soaps are good for listening exercises.

Whenever I have found a DVD with Russian dubbing, the English is always audible in the background. WHY? None of the other languages are like that!!!

Do they just use the same man's voice for all the male actors and and the same woman's voice for all the actresses? (Like they do on Highlander) !!! Now that is real cheese!!!

In some of them YES THEY DO! And they have no emotion or anything. Lucky I'm not a native speaker, or it could be troubling.

Well is it so hard to figure it out? You have a bootlegged copy of a film, how are you going to remove the voice ONLY (not the music and the sound effects) and put your voice over it? You need professional equipment and the original film. I went to a Russian movie theatre to watch... I forget... the mexican?... anyway, they had dubbed it perfectly with no audible English. You are probably watching some pirated copy

Maybe, but I have seen other channels on Webtelek TV that use this same practice. I remember a Mexican or Spanish soap opera in particular.

They were good copies I got from the video store that just happened to have the option of a Russian dub.

all new films in the kino are properly dubbed, with proper actors doing (usially) a good job. the disks are a different story. i say watch the russian films in russian and the english ones in english! i watched team america world police dubbed into russian - painfull

ТНТ лучше отключить и даже не пытаться включать!
..нужно быть ТАКИМ ,чтоб убивать время на просмотр ТАКОГО.... Все реалити-шоу на этом канале расчитаны на пенсионеров и тех, кому в жизни не хватает ощущений ..... Поражает то, что половина молодого населения страны, люди у которых (имхо) в жизни вообще ничего не происходит, восполняют пробел в ящике. Они просто получают чужие эмоции, проживают часть чужой жизни и перестают думать. ТНТ-это "промывание мозгов" и полная чушь.
