I section "Translate this": How one knows that the Asker accepted someones answer, and that no replies needed anymore? I see there are very old posts in there, should I answer them?

Accept a week as the time frame that would be enough for 99.99% of general population to either find the correct answer independently or lose the interest to it altogether. I'd even go with 2 days considering the average attention span.

Thank you. At some forums they let you know when it is closed because some posts last a long time before an Asker makes up his/her time.

This forum is largely self-regulated, while being decent and intelligent, which, I must admit, is an unusual phenomenon on the internet.
