    Russian food, it turns out, is very often WAY more healthy
    Is this one of those generalizations we should assume are wrong?

    It's up to the individual.. but in my experience, as soon as you DO generalize, you find out you're wrong.. Blini aren't very healthy, are they? Then again, buckwheat is a slow carb.. and if it's filled with fresh vegetables or omega-3-containing fresh fish, it's a whole lot healthier than a mcdonald's burger.. but then pickled vegetables contain nitrites, and cabbage is goitrogenic.. so, yeah, i guess i'd better assume that one's wrong too =)
