Fark Disney, it's a horrible place to work. Fark Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. They are expensive and you won't get paid much more than Cape Cod. DON'T pay anyone for a job. Good recruiters get paid by the employer. Get a J-1 visa. A good boss will help you get a Social Security card. It's very easy. You can work 1 week without one. Right now places are looking to hire H2-b visa holders. They advertise in the winter and make the jobs so horrible locals won't get hired. Minimum wage is $8 in Massachusetts, more than the Carolinas (which is brutally hot in the summer). $10 an hour is about the most you will get paid. Fark Amusement parks, they are horrid places. Get a morning job at a small Mom & Pop restaurant, guaranteed meal every day. Chain restaurants suck. House-boy at a motel at night (3pm-11pm). If you're lucky, you will get a boss like me and not work too hard. After 8 at night, we pretty much watch baseball in the lobby.

I'm going to start negotiations for my summer job after New Years Day. Part of the negotiation is I hire the 3-11 Russians (Belorussians, Ukrainians, whatever). I usually get 1 горничная and 1 мальчик дома. They hate me for the first 2 weeks because I make them work. Then they realize watching the Red Sox on the clock and playing "The Cow Goes Moo" is a pretty sweet gig. Actually the only real hard work I had the kids do last year was during the hurricane scare. We had a great hurricane party too.

Edit: I've been doing this stuff for 10+ years. It's why I am learning Russian. Cape Cod gets many Russians, Belorussians, Ukrainians, etc. Be careful of Provincetown.

Also I listened something about working on special technics (vehicles), cleaning floor in casino, supermarket or else. It's said to be pay much there.

About documents: first of all i should find job offer. Than I'll get Ds2019 (work permition) and than I'll get J-1 visa. The social security card I'll get in America on the first week my staying there.

What is this the file?

It is a Federal Income Tax form. Don't worry about it right now If you want to see what it looks like, here is a link... http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040ez.pdf The important thing to remember about that, is if you want to stay in the U.S. or ever get a Green Card or become a citizen... you have to prove that you HAVE filed these forms every year while you have been here. Or have a good reason as to why you didn't (like you didn't make enough money). So don't be short sighted and think, "Oh, I'll just not do this as I'm not a citizen or I'm going home and never coming back." That type of thinking could come back to bite you one day.

About casinos... the big ones are in Las Vegas, Nevada (West Coast in the desert) and Atlantic City, New Jersey (East Coast by the ocean). Las Vegas is very nice; however in the summer it is VERY, VERY, VERY HOT. Did I mention it is hot in the summer? Atlantic City is not so nice, well at least the last time I was there. The casino/boardwalk area itself is nice, but once you leave that area it is awful. Maybe Sperk knows more about that area. It is a good location though to be at as you can get to many other places easily from there. You could easily (and cheaply) travel to New York City or Washington, DC from there by bus.

n8m, it seems to me that you have very little knowledge of the US, work or otherwise. There is no way that you will be able to earn decent money - it will all be minimum-wage jobs, as capecoddah has said. You may think that $10 per hour is a lot, but it is not.

brutally hot?? Not if he goes to work on the Outer Banks. I live in NC and have been out there many times. It's fantastic, breezes, water -- an infinite improvement over where I live (Chapel Hill). On second thought, If he's from Moscow, he may indeed find it brutally hot.

Chaika is correct!!! North Carolina is VERY nice! I used to spend MY summers there as a child.

You're right. I need season job only.

n8m, it seems to me that you have very little knowledge of the US, work or otherwise. There is no way that you will be able to earn decent money - it will all be minimum-wage jobs, as capecoddah has said. You may think that $10 per hour is a lot, but it is not.

$10 per hour is a lot for work in service area (in Belarus). I know that there is another situation in America. I know that American employers hire foreign students cause it's less wage to pay them (they require less money). But I want to find best from what I can find.

Don't worry too much. A good recruiter will find a job for you.

My sponsor is the CCUSA. I know the changes you said about. Thats why now I'm looking for a job offer.

That is why we are suggesting to him the jobs that we are. Disney, restaurant work, hotel night shift and so on. These jobs are ones he could get on the Visa he is applying for and a number of them are seasonal.

Las Vegas in the summer is brutally hot, at least 106 is to me!!
Average High Temperature in July in Las Vegas: 106 F (41.1 C)

I can't tell you how many people I know who have said that and then want to stay for one reason or another. They meet a girl or something and then they want to stay. It's just something to keep in the back of your mind.... file your tax forms.

you have to consider your cost of living; after taxes $10 is basically nothing.

the problem is keeping it, unless all your expenses in the US are covered.

I pay ????(за) the program, visa, documents which neseccary and so on first (In Belarus before travel). My expenses in USA are meal and living. I said it because I have many friends which bring $1000-2000 home, working as cook and as rickshaw (excluding their living in USA and program payments).

You will also have travel expenses (cost of travelling to work and back).
A bus ticket in the USA is probably 2-5 dollar. If you can even find a bus! Most people there travel by car. When you look for a job you will have make sure that you can get to the job by bus. A litre of milk in the USA might be 3-4 dollar. That is why $10 is not much. I am not sure how much a loaf of bread is: Maybe 2-3 dollar?

If you just want to make as much money as possible, then it would be better to go to Germany or England, than to go to the USA. Then you do not have to pay for a plane ticket. I think you would make more money there than you would in the USA, and it would be easier to live there and find a job. The USA is exciting but it is not a good place to be if you have no money...

If you still want to go to America, then it sounds like the easiest thing for you to do is to go to an area where lots of Russian speaking people live, and ask them for advice on how they found jobs.

The other option is to go into every restaurant, hotel and shop and say that you are looking for a job and can do anything. Remember in America, smile and look happy all the time Be positive. The more jobs you apply for, the sooner you will get a job.

There are no German or England programs available for (to) me. I told you about my friends who earned some money there. I see that it's real to do it.
