    Merchants of deception

I want to ask you, especially those live in the USA - have you had any deal with multy-level marketing, or maybe with the Amway/Quixtar company itself?

What do you think on this subject in general?

I'm asking because my brother is about to join these guys and I have found many warnings about them on the net. Did you have any experience?
Please, correct my English. Many thanks

I was involved in Amway when I was about 20 years old, so many many years ago.

My suggestion would be not to get involved.

    From what I remember:

I had to purchase everything from them, otherwise I would not be showing friends or new prospects that I was making money etc..
So many items were more expensive then if I were to get it at Wal-Mart. In order for you to make money you really have to show yourself to people that this works(by using the products). So this is really a big hassle and I doubt the folks that get in now, actually make any money.

You are also asked to purchase reading material, Tapes, CDs etc... to get you motivated. Buy them? Yup buy them.....

The folks that got me started was in it for more then 5 years before they finally stated that they were not making any money.

I was in it for like 3 months. LOL

Not a smart thing to do in my opinion.

I think that you can only make money in Amway if you have the right personality and that means that you have to be a social climbing, back stabbing, materialistic bitch with no real friends ........just people who are just like you. People with no real life!

Casper, please tell your brother to avoid multi-level marketing.

    (DDT... no-holds-barred, as usual )

DDT does possess the talent of reaching the essence of humanity in a quick and eloquent way.

Casper, please... no multi-level marketing. This is solid (good) business advice.

    Thank you. Thanks Тоби.
Basically, I've been holding the same opinion and so seeking someone to ask who has got through this. I did not doubt the replies would be of sence like Тоби's one was.
Please, correct my English. Many thanks

About 15 years ago a friend of my sister tried to get me involved in Amway. He didn't call it Amway though, I forget the company name used. When pressed he did admit it was Amway. I asked him how much money he makes through Amway. His response was "That is none of your business". I quickly told him no thank you and good bye.

Beware of multi-level marketing, and all those companies that promise you a "get rich fast" plan. You'll waste your time, and your money. All those promises to get rich quick is a BS. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Well, I don't know what to say. I want to say thanks to the Academy, to Mama, to Papa and to my dog. I love you all.

Я считаю рекламы этой компании худшими рекламами в мире. Я никогда бы не связался с этой компанией просто из-за того, что у них такие глупые рекламы.

"Реклама" во множественном числе не употребляется. Но можно сказать "рекламные ролики".

MLM schemes (Herbalife, Amway, Oriflame ...) -- MD.

A mean and cynical way to fool a lot of people.
