    Malchiks in A Clockwork Orange

Anyone seen this movie? It's been on cable alot lately. Anyway the young punks are called malchiks; I can't imagine the author didn't borrow the word from Russian.
Кому - нары, кому - Канары.

Actually the movie is full of "russian" words.
The language they speak is a mix of english and russian.
Likely because the author of the book (and Kubrick too, as 2001 proves) imagined that in the future the dominant languages will be english and russian.
