    Making Russian Websites

    I use Macromedia Dremweaver for Web Design, and wanted to make part of a website in Russian using Russian characters (of course ) however it did not come out right- just as question marks. Has anybody else tried this? Are there any similar programs that are more Russian Friendly? Thanks!

    It has nothing to do with a program you use for a web page design. Just add charset=windows-1251 ( or the whole line below if your page doesn't have the meta "Content-Type" tag at all ) into header section of your page.

    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1251">

    I use to have exactly the same problem a few years ago. I believe you have to have a russian Windows to use it properly. Correct me if I wrong, because I still want to use it.

    Macromedia flash does support Cyrillic fonts. I have used it before. And no need in Russian windows (I have used English versions all my life and where is no problems with fonts ). Where is configuration box somewhere in Macromedia options...if you interested I can check my home PC and will answer more accurate where it is.
