If you won the lottery would you still work?

If you were set for life would you still work?

I wouldn't. Life is short and I have things to do. Maybe I would do some service stuff to be useful but I wouldn't go to a job everyday.

I would do some creative stuff like composing music...well it can be a real job but I'd personally do it for pleasure

I wouldn't be stupid as to blow it all in one month like one guy did once.

It would be a lot of money, that doesn't just mean a lot to spend. People would start to know unless you make sure you keep it, not entirely secretive, but enough to stop charities bombarding you and 'relatives' you've never heard of coming out of the woodwork...

I wouldn't still work but I'd make sure I'd still have a routine, making sure I'd set challenges for myself, not 'I have a lot of money so I don't need to do anything, my life is set'. Can't cure illnesses and stop accidents either.
Please correct any Russian language mistakes I make.

I rarely play the lottery, but the few times I do, it tends to be when the huge jackpots are up for grabs. The running contingency plan is that as soon as I find out I've won I hop a plane for somewhere and spend like a month on vacation, then come back and claim my winnings. Unlike the stupid people, I do not take a lump sum, because that's just plain stupid.

I would invest the money won in order to redouble it. That would have become my new job since then.

I voted that I would work. Just a natural desire to keep myself gainfully busy after spending all that money on girls

Hey, why don't we start a lottery club here?

What was that saying, the devil's hands is a man without work?
Honestly, I can imagine how boring life would be if there wasn't some work involved, something that makes you feel like you did a good days job. That is if you enjoy your work, of course, if I was a toilet cleaner, I would of course have quit...

I would become some type of artist.

But I am motivated enough to keep busy on my own, I don't need a job to make me do it.

Well, I guess some things you can't do alone. Take Bill Gates for example, no doubt he is richer than all of us put together, but he goes to meetings, meets with foreign leaders and runs his charitable business. It is all work. But he gets something out of it, and not only him.

What would you do specifically Biannca?

For starters maybe I would learn enough Russian to write my own letters so you wouldn't have to forge them for me

I would skate and read all the time. And maybe do some painting.

Well perhaps I would move to Paris and take up smoking clove cigarettes.

I'd go travel around the world, surf, skii etc untill I get sick of it. Then, I'll figure something to do after. Oh of course I am going to be investing.

After thinking it over, I have to say that I wouldn't work if I won the lottery (provided that the amount coming in was enough to assure my well-being for the rest of my life). Not because I am lazy per se, but because I would want to spend much of my time travelling, and the rest of my time doing research and studying whatever comes to mind. So I guess, in a sense, it would still be a form of work, just nothing like what I do now.

If I was wealthy, regardless of how the wealth was attained, I would continue to work. Work gives me a sense of pride and usefulness. If I did not work, I would just get drunk and gamble every day and that is probably not healthy.

Nope, I would move to California with my band and pay them money to make music full time. I would also get a studio and a venue!
