Yeah, let's do it! I'm sure I've seen a tutorial for how to create perfect parallel books somewhere online.
I reckon it should also have an audio part, read in Russian and English respectively, by native speakers.

Here is a screenshot of the book that Inego made. It's at a very good level for a beginner.

@Inego - your English is very near native/perfect. In the bits that don't sound perfect, the only reason for it is that you did not want to translate to something too different from the original text. So rather than change the translation substantially, you used a direct translation that sounds a tiny bit "off" from an English perspective. But it's not a big deal at all. The only impact is that a Russian person who is using the book to learn English will not get a perfect native sounding English 100% of the time. It's the nature of translation unfortunately — in order to get a natural sounding translation it's not possible to always do a word-for-word translation.

The Aglona Reader is a very cool piece of software.... I have some parallel books Russian-English and Russian-Swedish in Word and PDF format. I can upload them if someone is interested. I got them on some rainy day when I scoured the internet high and low... It's Russian fairy tales, Karlsson and some short works by classic authors. To be quite honest I haven't used them yet, other than Karlsson.
