I appreciate the reply each of you gave, but i will say, you are all wrong.

Nobody said that. But you must admit that his first post sounds like someone trying to self himself for the purpose of meeting/finding someone, a girl precisely. What a coincidence!

Darn you all, when you are single, you look for a partner.

Thats life, its what people do. especially young people. Why would that be offensive.

And i'm sick of the idea that a man cannot be attracted to a Russian woman, of course he can.

But, I will say this, if you want to learn Russian, don't bother looking for a Russian girl to talk to.

You want someone who is learning just like you. A native speaker will overwhelm you and not be good for learning.

Not that my Russian wife hasn't helped me a lot over the past 4 years...but, what I've found is a proven way to learn russian, is to be with other language learners...there you can feel comfortable practicing, and you learn from each other rather quickly.

Another method is immersion (not really an option for most).

Yeah, but I wonder what language that you end up actually speaking when a bunch of newbies get together!!

i am single, but i am NOT alone, i have my most wonderful love with me all the time....oh..life is so good, so poweful...passionate as Pushkin's poems... he is soooo awesome!!

You'll find a good mix of Russian speakers, and English speakers who love Russian, here.

This is IMO the best place on the net for those learning Russian...there is another site also you should check, 'learningrussian.com'. And if you've got the resources try to find a native speaker in your area who can give you lessons. Nothing beats a native speaker for learning spoken Russian.
