After asking other people on another forum the same question, I finally decided the final, simplified answer is 3(a^2+4).
Do you agree?
Yeah, we agree. There's nothing else to do with it. But I don't see a point in "simplifying" things until you know what's after equals sign.Quote:

При чем тут число? Уравнение 2a^2 + 12 = 0 имеет право на существование. Просто в области рациональных числе решения у него не будет.Quote:

Ну, как я понял, после знака равенства вообще ничего не стоит). Нужно просто преобразовать левую часть, вынести за скобки, если можно упростить... Как я понимаю, это и есть "фэкторинг".
Уравнение я уже писал, оно оказалось не нужным...
А вот таким 3a^2 + 12 = a^2 способом упростить нельзя, об этом я и сказал...

It is impossible to factor in real numbers. However, if complex operands are allowed:
3a^2 + 12 = (sqrt(3) a + 2 sqrt(3) i) (sqrt(3) a - 2 sqrt(3) i)
Here sqrt(a) stands for square root of a, i is obviously sqrt(-1).
Может там просто минус должен стоять?
3a^2 - 12 = 3(a^2 - 4) = 3(a - 2)(a + 2)
