    Visa question

On the application there is a question that askes if i have any special training in weapons, missles, rockets, chem warfare.

Well, I dont really but i am in the military and i've shot guns before. I was gunna just put "No" because, really its the truth. I didnt learn anything about guns that I didn't already know.

But when they see im in the military and then see i said i dont have any training are they gunna think im lying?

    Anyways what should i put...

Maybe i should just put YES and write about how i wanna be in spetsnaz and maybe they'll recruit me.

Also they wanna know my last 2 employers before the military... Why?!

I worked at a bunch of fast food places and i dont remember the phone numbers, adresses, or anything. So im not gunna put anything, is this gunna be a problem?

Nah, list the burger joints. Of course they don't really care, but two things:
    a. especially if you're in the military or whatever they're going to see that there's a gap there -- and they might get suspicious of what you were doing at that time
    b. this is Russia. Remember that they can be incredibly anal about paperwork so you could put WHATEVER in those blanks and they won't care but if they see a blank they might decide to bounce you or hassle you for more information.

Just suck it up, whip out the phone book and write down the number for the burger joints.
Заранее благодарю всех за исправление ошибок в моём русском.

The Visa form for US citizens is different to the one everyone else has to fill in. It has a lot more questions and goes into a lot more detail.

I didn't realize that we were so lucky as to have our own custom-crafted application...

My guess is that you mark it as a YES only if you were specifically trained by the military as a weapon specialist. I shot guns before, including AKM, naturally, but to say that I had a special training in firearms would be a gigantic overstatement. Well, I said it once to impress a girl long time ago, and even now I'm still ashamed. They'd probably want an interview anyway seeing that you are in the military, and you'll have your chance to clarify what you meant.

    Hi Dogboy,
Last year one of my classmates, who did two tours of Iraq, was given a visa to Russia. I really don't think you have much to worry about. Even having been in full combat (he was a soldier and it does ask this on the app), he was not called in for an interview.
If you are going as a student, I don't you will have any problems over anything. I called the consulate while my visa was being processed, and they said they received it and I got the visa but it wouldn't be sent out till the day in which I paid for it to be sent. Now I called them the day after it was supposed to arrive and I was already accepted??
As long as your not Georgian, and coming for <=1, do not worry at all.

Вот именно что technically. А так ты выглядишь как шпион, владеешь оружием как шпион, учишь язык как шпион.
А technically ты конечно мирный student. Едешь встретить новый год. Ну-ну.
