We have developed a few rules to help make this forum a fun and safe place to learn Russian and discuss related subjects. Please, respect these rules when using the forums:

1 - You are welcome to post any ideas about the Russian language and culture. No off-topic posts are allowed.
2 - Whenever you create a new topic, you must give it a meaningful descriptive name. No gibberish and one-word subjects are allowed.
3 - Do not post obscenities or insult other users. You can challenge somebody's ideas but no personal attacks are allowed.
4 - Choose appropriate categories/forums for your posts
5 - Check your grammar and spelling before submitting a post
6 - Do not turn this forum into a chatroom. Try to make posts that have some essence to them.
7 - Do not spam or advertise on the forums
8 - Do not register more than one account. We will figure it out and block you!
9 - All posts must be in English or Russian, except for the special "Beyond Russian" section of the forum where you can use several other languages.
10 - Never use ALL CAPS in posts unless you intend to show that you are shouting. No CAPS are allowed in the subject lines.
11 - Using profile signature for advertising is not allowed.
12 - Respect all forum users, including forum leaders, admins and moderators.

"do not insult others" ; thats strange, because I've even seen some of the moderators saying things that may be insulting to others. So does that mean that only certain people can say insulting things, yet knowone can say anything back in defence? I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but just wandering.

No moderator used obscene words or insults on this forum. You can certainly defend your viewpoint, but don't use so called "bad words", neither Russian, nor English.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Admin . Good one Mike ! Look, it's nothing personal against you, but yes, I have been a bit offended by the comments you have made about America, especially when the comment is not an opinion, but an untrue statement. That is why I asked if it was ok to make comments back in defense, because that is what I've done.

Hmmm... heres is an idea. I saw the rules about no off-topic posts. I do not think this forum has an off-topic discussion, but many sites I see do. Maybe there should be one if there isn't already. Like a disscusion topic set aside so people can talk about other things, sometimes Russian too, LoL. The reason I use these forums are to learn more about Russia and the Russian culture. But it is also cool to communicate with these people on other levels too, it just might make our posts friendlier. That way we might relate better to other people here.

There used to be an Off-Topic forum, and it quickly became the only section of the forum most people used. Fewer and fewer serious questions or requests for help were answered.

Hmmm, but I myself had to register twice... I mean, I registered once, but I mistyped my email address, which meant I just couldn't receive the confirmation message — without which I couldn't log in either. I even wrote an email to MasterAdmin regarding that and he himself told me to register a new nick.

But, in case it's possible to delete my first registration and change my second nick to the original one, I'd be trully thankful. I've always been 'Psi-Lord' with an hyphen in the Web, so I do miss that tiny little detail there.

That's my signature. It is provided by http://www.danasoft.com/ and shows the information that your computer is revealing publicly. This singature is unique for each viewer depending on who looks at the signature. So for me, the text in the signature is a little different.
