    Hi! New poster!

    Hi Guys!

    Found this forum a couple of days ago. I wish i had found it earlier! been reading through a lot of the posts whilst i've been waiting for my account to be activated, and it seems like a godsend of information!

    i've been learning Russian for about 7 months now, firstly ive been using learningrussian.net to learn Russian language, and i also have a copy of the Rosetta Stone learning program, and a cheap listening CD off ebay

    i was over in Russia in June taking part in an off-roading event.. don't know if any of you guys will have heard of it - "Ladoga Trophy Raid"? i learnt a couple of basic words for whilst i was over there, but after coming back home i decided i was definitely going to try and learn the language!

    i do have a fair few questions about a few things i dont understand, but i'll save them for a seperate post

    oh and my Cyrillic keyboard came in the post today too!

    That was my first reaction, too. Did the OP say 'Thank you' somewhere?

    He definitely is welcome to our club, but you wouldn't say "you are welcome to our club" that sounds a little too legal. Just say "Great to have you! May your posts centiple!" (is centiple a word?)

    Thanks for the warm welcome guys..

    my confidence is not very good when it comes to russian yet.. plus my spelling is awful! i can never remember the placement of ь's or how to distinguish и's from й's for just two examples! but its all practice i suppose..

    i think i've gone the wrong way with learning so far.. hopefully i can bring it back up to speed with this forum

    hopefully i'll be back in st, petersburg in june for this year ladoga trophy raid! only ill be able to have a bit more conversation with people
