Thread: Does Anyone Like the Music I Listen To???

There are things accepted by the most, and there are things not accepted. Hence, the devision.

Anyway, people keep manipulating the words of taste all the time---not thinking too much of them.

Well, If you want to call things you don't like as wrong/bad, okay. I have another (in your terms - bad) opinion.

I have the right to decide whatever I want as long as I don't impose my opinion on somebody else.
I just like you "don't like most Russian music".
For example I particularly hate Glyukoza, Katya Lel' (especially because of stupid words in her songs), Otpetiye moshenniki, Ruki Vverh and so on. For me they are no singers at all. But I won't persist and argue. You can consider it as IMHO.

I like the music of Ennio Morricone. This guy is (or was? ) a genius. His music is one of the most beautiful there is. And among singers one of my favourites is Frank Sinatra. Generally I don't have favourite singers or bands etc. I just like something here, something there, a bit of this, a bit of that... if you know what I mean.
The songs I like are "Yesterday" (Beatles), "The world is not enough" (Garbage), "Strangers in the night" (Sinatra), "Besame mucho" (many singers have sung it), "Hotel California" (Eagles), "Et si tu n`existais pas" and "Salut"(Joe Dassin), "The Winner Takes It All" (ABBA).
Kill Bill has good OST (especially Zamfir - "The Lonely Shepherd"). The main theme of Godfather (Nino Rota) also is nice. And "Crocketts Theme" (Jan Hammer) is good too.
And about Russian music... I like Браво, Игорь Тальков... and some songs of different singers... "Город золотой" (Аквариум), "Есть только миг" (разные исполнители)... I can't tell at once.
Actually I don't listen to music very often. And I've never been to a disco
In general I like peaceful, calming, delicate music. And I hate heavy metal, heavy rock, hip-hop, rap and such.

Rtyom: there's a bad taste and a god taste. If most people share your taste then it's good, otherwise it's bad.

me: there's no bad or good tastes, there're different tastes. If you think someone has a good taste it just means he has a similar taste. If you think someone has a bad taste it means he has a different taste.

PS: I love Sinatra too!

Well, everything began from the post by Black Mage (where's he?). He said that he listens to whatever he can get for cheap or free. It was not that very serious accusation from my part. You can get gems or trash this way. And I supposed it was trash. People treating music like that might have strange taste.

Sorry. Actually I was just chattering and letting everybody know about my musical taste (good one, I must note Yep, don't mention it, I know I'm a very modest man ).

Ok, that's your IMHO, sorry for the pun. I've got your point. And I, nonetheless, will consider some people as those with bad tastes. But, as I have already said, I don't wanna argue.

I went to a Zemfira gig at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London last night. I'm usually not a big fan, but I took my wife (who is a big fan) for her birthday, and I must admit Zemfira's live act is really decent.

Met Roman Abravomich and his bodygaurds on the stairwell on the way out too.

Didn't know that Abramovich enjoys Zemfira's gigs.

I am very glad, that have found the adherent! Vitovio, how for a long time you listen to songs of these groups?

This thread is the right place...... Finally I can get rid of a couple of Russian CDs I really hate!!
Who wants a Чичерина and a Kинo CD? I wanted to toss them in the trash but I felt bad because they traveled with me all the way from Russia!!
