Wow!! Since I read the book a few years ago at university, I always thought it would be cool to see it done on the screen. Pretty nifty. Anyone know if it will be possible that they might release it in some form so that those of us around the world could see it?

Yes, I did read that thread. Hence, I found this story somewhat pertinent, but freed myself from the shackles that are the "In Russian Only" section.

The scene of the Satan's ball is awesome, you should see it, but you MUST read the book first.

I have neither read M&M nor seen the film, but I found this quote from the CNN story to be revealing:

"Last night I saw this not-naked-enough woman flying around," said Yevgeny Skepner, a 38-year-old computer programmer, referring to Margarita's broom scene."

There you have it: the nudity in this series is found to be wanting by computer nerds! +5 points for using "not-naked-enough" in a sentence as well -- but how would he have said this по-русски?

Neither have I. It's a crying shame I haven't read Master and Margarita because those who have read the book usually say that they liked it very much. It's believed to be unputdownable.

I decided not to watch the film because, as someone's already said here, you MUST first read the book before watching the movie.

As for a movie.... I'm not sure I'd want to see it...
The book conjures up so many images in your mind that I don't think it is possible to transfer even a fraction of them to a screen - too confined.....

Some books are better left to the imagination and the fantasy, methinks..... (cfr Lord of the Rings...... terrible letdown )
