Thread: Can anyone recommend any Russian music?

I have been listening to Russian music a lot to try and get used to hearing the language, but the only Russian artists famous enough internationally that I have heard of them are tatu and Zemfira (well, and PPK, but PPK don't seem to use Russian lyrics). This is all very well, but I'm getting a bit tired of hearing only two bands.

Can anyone suggest any good Russian music? I am willing to try almost any genre. It would help if the lyrics were enunciated clearly.

Unfortunately, I don't know what you think about folk music, but I really like it so I can suggest listening to Мельница and its soloist Хелависа. It seems to me that she pronounces all the words clearly enough. Her lyrics can be rather difficult for a foreigner so I can advise listening to the songs that she has translated from English, so you'll be able to compare the translation to the original.
For example, you can begin with Терновник, Дуб и Ясень (the translation of Kipling's "Oak, Ash and Thorn").

Thanks so much for all your suggestions, I'm enjoying them all (especially the кошка song, it's really fun). I don't understand much of any of them but figure it's good to hear them anyway.
