    no. I just consider "white russian" to be the opposite of belarus russian, it is the "standard" way of speaking it, without any distinct dialect, like in belarus, ukrine, and north sibera.

    "White Russian" is sometimes used to refer to Belarusian. I've never heard that term used to refer to standard Russian. Where are you from and what is your native language?

    I am from rehoboth beach, delaware. every summer about 5,000 people come here from russian, belarus, ukrine, it makes for very interesting conversation between all of them when speaking in russian. My native language is american english. but I also speak fluent spanish. they were the ones who told me that "white russian" is the russian spoken in only spoken inside the boarders of russia. has anyone been told different about this? maybe I translated their russian wrong, probibly not. but I heard it right from their mouth.

    White = Белый
    Russia = Русь

    White Russia = Белорусь

    White Russian is Belorussian, the language of Belorus', which is the cloest language to Russian and not very widely spoken.

    Russain Language

    Hi everybody,

    Although I'm a Turkish man, I've been in Moscow, Kyiv and Minsk for business. I met with a lot of people right these cities and I could not see any difference on their language. All of them were speaking "Russki yizik"
    But I saw a little differences between them; Belarussian people are so polite, Ukrainens are polite but Russians are unpolite.
    Forgive me Russians but the situation is like this...

    Give me a reason why we should be polite.
