Thread: Anthony Federov on American Idol

Hey, does anyone actually watch American Idol?
Anthony Federov just got voted off. I thought he had a pretty good run, and thought that he would be eliminated a long time ago, but what do I know?
Anyway, I thought it was interesting that he is Ukrainian and got that far. If he had an accent though, he DEFINATELY wouldn't have made it this far.

What is that? Is it some religous program? What kind of idol is it?

It's a show where they search america for a new pop star. There's a huge contest and in the end we're tortured by radios playing their songs over and over. Every person who has been pushed from the hell-like womb of that show has been an annoying whiney bitch.

I don't like the show. We invented it in the UK.

A lot of successful American shows over the years have been British originally. US television has been very good at ripping off Britain.

yeah but then Europe shows all of the American shows dubbed over with the same voices over and over on every show.

Anyway if something is a good idea i.e. makes money why not use it in different countries?

No reason not to. The only reason that I mention it is because there are so many people here in the US that I meet that think or assume they invented everything.

I know. Hence my interest in other countries and other languages... to get a break from a certain type of American. The kind that think they know everything but know nothing and make no attempt to change that. But there are nice Americans too (like me hahahaha) .

One question about grammar of the sentence: "No reason not to."
There are two negative words in it ("No"and "Not").
Is this sentence correct?
