I believe a very long time ago, I used to frequent the bar with the red sign over the entrance in the left of the building on the corner, in photo 57. It used to be called (and still is) the "Moose Bar" and the last time I was travelling through there, which was only about 7 years ago, I dropped in for a visit and they still played poker in the bar room. The building has been changed a bit since the photo was taken but it is the same building. I used to work on the Matador Ranch out of Dillon and when our crew of cowboys came to town we used to frequent the bars near that corner. Almost any bartender would cash a Matador cowboy's pay check without hesitation. They knew we would spend at lot of it! Even mine and I probably was not even old enough to drink back then. But that didn't matter to anyone in those days.
