"tired a lot" maybe should be "and were very tired"?

Maybe, "got very tired" or "had got very tired" ?

"were very tired" was my first translation. Now I love translating from Russian to English as correctors have advised me. Seems more exciting and maybe can land me a government job. Thanks to all very very much..

Hi Heartfelty, you know I don't read Russian; however, I'll give it a try and tell you how I would redo the English sentence as I understand it to be meant.

Recently we went even if the roads were in poor condition.
Recently we went even if the roads were in bad shape.

That was one of the greatest gift you gave me rockz...Thank you.. Once I am enrolled this September in Russian class I might be on my own..

Some Russian corrections are still needed here.

It was rain recently, and the road was in poor condition.

Maybe "It rained recently and the road was in poor condition."
