Privet and all that

OK. I am here. Don't expect me to type in Cyrillic just yet. Hopefully it will come. I am not a newcomer to Russian. I began studying it in 1996, and spent three years of fairly intensive study of it, then have dabbled in it off and on for the last 12 years. I have gone through all three levels of Pimsleur, and studied several books of grammar. I can read the language fairly well, but still have problems writing it and speaking it.

I would like to find a tutor, but am not sure whether I could afford one at this time. Yet I think that is probably the only way I can get to the next level.

Anyway, thank you for creating this forum. Hopefully I can gain some benefit from it.
