Thread: Hallo thar!

Hello! I'm Jacks, I'm 22 years old and from England. I have a passion for drawing, and I'm an animator-in-training (well, I'm waiting to go back to Uni after some time out). I also like learning about languages and their quirks, not to mention quirks of my own language. I love video games, when I actually get around to playing them (and when I do, I get lost in them...)

I was partly 'introduced' to Russian/Russia through Hetalia and mostly through the Japan-based singer Origa/Ol'ga's music. I was interested in being able to work out what those crazy letters said, and here I am interested in the language, history and culture itself.

I'm a beginner- i.e, just got myself started a few days ago- so I've armed myself with the New Penguin coursebook (that's yet to arrive) and a trial for Russian Accelerator to start me off.

I will be more than willing to give a hand with English, although bear in mind my version is 'British English'. I may be better with written English though, as I have a terrible stammer when speaking out loud.
