Hello everyone! Nice to meet you.

My name is Lisa and I live in Canada. I am married to a Ukrainian who speaks Russian so I am looking forward to improving my language skills here. I hope my future children will be able to learn Russian and we can be a Russian-speaking household. I am Italian but I do not speak Italian fluently; it is also important for me to learn Italian so I will try to learn them both simultaneously (on different forums though )

I already know a little bit of Russian and my biggest struggle is vocabulary and speed-of-thought. When I want to say things in Russian or understand what other people say, I still translate in my head, so it greatly inhibits my ability to hold a conversation in person. Hopefully the forum environment will give me the time I need to understand and comprehend before responding!
